One family · Five decades
For five decades, Highland Springs Kennel has been part of the Lakeport community. Julie’s mother built the business and cared for dogs here for decades, continuing until she was about 86.
Today, Julie carries that family legacy forward from the same home and kennel her mother devoted so much of her life to.
The next chapter
After 35 years as a CPA, Julie left that career to take over the family business her mother built. She never looked back. Today, she carries the work forward with genuine love at the heart of Highland Springs Kennel.
“This job makes my soul happy. I am blessed.”

A familiar face
Julie has a little help keeping tails wagging. Known around the kennel as the Treat Dealer, he lends a hand with the dogs, shares plenty of affection, and always seems to know when someone has earned an extra treat.
The experience
Leaving your dog somewhere for the first time can be difficult. Highland Springs Kennel is built around making that experience comfortable — for the dog and for the person leaving them behind.
